A tree is made up of branches, truck and root. These three parts are together. They are never separated. Any separation will lead to death. Something with a root and without a trunk can not be called a plant. There is no plant with root and trunk without branches.

“I am the vine and you are the branches. Cut off from Me you will die.” These are the words of the Master. “Unless you remain in Me and I in you, you can do nothing,” He said. The Master is talking about love. “Love one another just as I have loved you,” He said.

Remember, the love of the Master took Him to the cross to die for us while we were still sinners. When you love someone, do not allow your love to put the other person in bondage or prison. Let you love for the other person not steal his or her freedom. When you love, it means that you are ready to lay down your life for the other person. “Laying down of life” can also be in the form of sacrificing one’s time, energy, strength, resources, etc., for the good of the other person.

  1. Jesus pointed out that he is the vain, we the followers (Christians) are the branches and his father is the vain dresser. Bad and unproductive branches are cutted off and The good and productive branches remains with him. We should love God and our neighbor and we will see ourselves being obedient to the commandment of God.
When we love God, we always want to please him and never hurt our neighbor. Agape love, the unconditional love of God.

  2. Splendid and great write up from a great mind……. On love …(Love is a powerful action. We seek wholeness in the love of God. We pursue it in a lifelong companion. We give it selflessly to our neighbors and even our enemies. Love is action we take part in daily. Once more thank you Frere tonero for this wonderful write… “I LOVE TO LOVE AND LOVE TO BE LOVED”….
