For me I see this as a spiritual exercise or mental work. For years I have been used to a certain actions that whenever I carry them out, I feel nothing: emptiness, dryness, insensitivity, etc. But one day, I came across the answer, knowing the difference between habitual act and action.

Once an action is carried out as a result of compulsion, it is no longer as action but a mechanical act.
The beauty of an action comes not from its having become a habit but from its sensitivity, consciousness, clarity of perception, and accuracy of response. Thanks for your constant visit to our website. 😘
