Why is so much more attention paid to the training and formation of a girl? Why is there that intense consciousness about the character of a girl?
The ‘gender-campaigners’ have attributed it to “patriarchy” and a marginalisation of the “girl-child”. But then, I think our progenitors were actually wiser than we tend to give them credit for.
Do you know women have been the main leaders of the world, from time immemorial. This, they haven’t done by being at the fore-front; rather, behind drawn curtains and closed doors. Women haven’t been leading by leading the led; they have been leading by leading the leader. Grand puppeteers.
Do you know it’s much easier for a woman to get a man to make a decision he doesn’t want to, or change one he resolutely made, than vice versa.
Do you know that it’s the woman who decides if there’s a relationship or not. It’s the woman who has to agree for sex to happen.
A lot of how the world turns out, depends on decisions made by women, by commission or omission.
Based on the enormity and delicacy of decisions that rest on the shoulders of women, I don’t think their more intensive (for lack of a better word) training is misplaced. They aren’t just responsible for themselves; they are responsible for the world.
