POWER IN THE WRONG HANDS

I totally agree with the sayings, “Do the little you can, no matter how small it may be. The change starts with you.” These sayings are good grammatically but sometimes are not practically. Many a times we have the will but we don’t have the resources. We have the will but we don’t have the power. We have the will be we don’t have the means. When you see that your contribution is nothing but like a drop of water in an ocean, when you know that if you had the power, you would have done more than that. It is good to have the will because that is the first motivator and ought to be the first propelling element in carrying out any act.

Many problems we are facing in the world today have not been solved or not effectively solved because those who have power don’t have the will to do something effective. While those who have the will lack the power, authority, and resources to bring that change they always pray and wish for. The little that the good-will-people are doing is not really enough. It is just like s drop in an ocean. For years, things are been the same. Nothing has changed.

But there seems to be a confusing phenomenon. From experience, I came to realise that when those whom we thought then had the good will come into power, it becomes a different ballgame altogether. They do the opposite of what they were advocating for before. What is the cause? Why the change of concept and ideology? Something is wrong somewhere. But I believe that there are still good ones out there who can still change the world. The main issue is, “When will they come to power?”
