DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HABITUAL ACT AND ACTION

For me I see this as a spiritual exercise or mental work. For years I have been used to a certain actions that whenever I carry them out, I feel nothing: emptiness, dryness, insensitivity, etc. But one day, I came across the answer, knowing the difference between habitual act and action.

Once an action is carried out as a result of compulsion, it is no longer as action but a mechanical act.
The beauty of an action comes not from its having become a habit but from its sensitivity, consciousness, clarity of perception, and accuracy of response. Thanks for your constant visit to our website. 😘

A SIMPLE AND EXTRAORDINARY ENCOUNTER

dav

Thanks to God it was Thursday and nothing much to do in school. Nothing to be in a haste for. As I sat close to one of the windows in the Church this morning, I really felt the cool morning breeze from the rain that fell the previous day, giving my mind a relaxed state.

The story from the gospel reading today captured my attention. This made me to think on how I have been searching for something close to me. How is it possible to search for something that is very close to you? If yes, then there is a clear indication that we lack the sense of AWARENESS. The story was about a woman who was a sinner. This woman came to a house where people were invited for a dinner or party with Jesus. But from every indication, she was not there for the party. She came for something else. She came to look for the Master. She came to ask for something people used to wait for a golden opportunity before they can ask for it. We were told that this woman washed the feet of Jesus with here tears. Wiped the feet of Jesus with her hair. And applied a jar of perfume to those same feet. All these were to show her sincere pleading for forgiveness because she was a sinner and was aware of Master’s presence.

Think of how many times you and I have been with the master without being conscious of His presence and what to ask him. Think of the many times we have been in the Church without being aware of the His presence. Are we going to see the Master just like everyone else? Are we going to Church because we see people going? All these are good if we are doing them, there is nothing bad in them. But the most important thing is to be AWARE OF THE MASTER’S PRESENCE and make good use of every opportunity to be with Him body and soul. It may be our last chance.

THANKS FOR READING. PLEASE, DO LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS. DON’T FORGET TO CHALLENGE MY IDEAS FOR THAT IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN SHOW ME SOME LOVE.
